Awesome Impresionist Art Work

On Monday 14th August Room 2 shared some of last term's art work in a school Values Assembly.
Here's what we did:

Last term we got our inspiration for painting for the famous Claude Monet.

He is an impressionist, which means his paintings are made with dabbing brush strokes.

He has some very famous paintings like landscapes and lily-ponds.

Here are some examples of our own impressionist paintings:

Kelly Tarltons by Fuapau

Kelly Tarltons
On Saturday I went to Kellytartons with my family. We saw lots of amazing sea creatures
like Sharks, Clownfish, Jhon Dory, Cray fish, Tuna, Eels, Crabs, Sea cucumber and coral.

I got to play with the robot Shark. You can control the Shark by pressing the different coloured buttons to make the SHFSSsShark do different things like make him chomp and blink.  I went to the new corner. I drew jacksepticeye and markiplier.

Last of all we went to the café where I ate lots of different food like pie and cake.

It was the best day of my life.

M.O.T.A.T

M.O.T.A.T
On Tuesday we went on the bus to M.O.T.A.T to learn about flight. There was this lady who taught us about drag and thrust. We had 7 activities. My favourite was crawling into the wind tunnel. After that we looked at planes. Then we went to the real M.O.T.A.T. That had all the historical stuff. We had lunch on a big deck. Then we went around M.O.T.A.T. It was the funniest day ever I hope we go again. By Fuapau

How does a stapler work? by Fuapau

A stapler is a tool that you use to clamp paper together with. You open it from the top of the stapler to refill it. There are two types of stapler: the gun stapler and the normal stapler. The gun stapler shoots out staples and you open it up from the bottom. You shoot papers to the walls.

FISHING by Fuapau

On Monday on the first week of holidays I went to a boat ramp. After that my uncle took us to the deep water. We dropped the anchor my dad chopped up the bait. It was African sardines and squid (also known as calamari) as soon as I dropped my bait an Eagle ray slammed at my bait. It ran 500 yards we pulled it in. It swung its large barbed tail around. (an Eagle ray can kill its attacker with its venomous barb on its tail). It swished its large tail from side to side. We chopped of the wings it was big then we caught some snapper. After that we caught a big hammer head ( A hammerhead shark has a massive 120 degree but it has a blind spot).

Mangere Markets by Fuapau

Just a meter away you can hear cars horning at each other. In the distance you can see a yellow bin shining like the sun. Sitting on the table are scrumptious golden bananas sitting like they’re going to explode into tiny pieces. The delicious velvet  red  kumara  looks like a ripe fig waiting to be picked. You can see a prickly golden pineapple from the Bahamas.
