Art Board By Paige

Today at assembly some classes have shared their art board. Some of the classes had to come up on stage and tell JBS what they had been doing to draw and color in their art board. All of the art boards were all so amazing. 

My favourite art board was Room 1's art board. It was my favorite art board because it had cool patters and pretty flowers. I also liked room 22's art board. I liked how they used their hands to make the petals on the flowers. 

I think that Mattia did a great job presenting our art board on stage. She was really brave. I also think that Mr Jackson and Mattia did a good job working on our art board. Mr Jackson and Mattia worked really hard on our art board I think that they should be getting all the credit.

Trip to MOTAT by Paige

On Tuesday room 2 went to MOTAT to learn about flight.  First we went on the bus and all the seats were soft and colorful.  When we got to MOTAT we went inside and had a little lunch.  After lunch we went in a room for some lessons about flight.  We were learning about aerofoils and how they work. Then we did some experiments.  My favorite experiment was the air tunnel.  

Next we looked at lots of old planes and big planes.  Then we went on the tram for a little ride to the other of MOTAT.  On the tram everyone was all squashed together.  When we arrived we had a little snack.  Then we talked about where we were going first.  So we decided we will go to the doll house.  When we went inside we saw lots of baby dolls, in one small room.  After that we looked at an old school.  My group and another group were playing teachers.  Next we went to other places. 

 Then we went back to the other side and got on the bus and went back to school.  It was a great day.  I hope we go again.

Holidays

In the holidays we planned a surprise birthday for my Nana. We planned it in the Mangere hall near KFC. Me and my family spent all night planning and decorating things. Then I, my sister, my cousin and my mum went to pick up our dresses. Then finally on the 25^th of April we brought my Nana in and said “SURPRISE “. Then she started to cry. When she cried everyone in the hall cried. Then these girls were dancing, and we were eating. There were lots of different kind of food like shop suey. Then we said a prayer to end it.

The Mangere Market by Paige

The Mangere market has loads of beautiful, colourful fruit and vegetables. The fresh white cauliflowers float like a cloud in the sky. The sound of lovely slow island music fills the air, and people having a conversation together. Delicious smell of hot chips, with tomato sauce and kebabs. The felling of ice cold drinks satisfies my thirst.

My creature is the most  prettiest creature ever. She loves to eat banana peels with bread. Sometimes she likes to eat lettuce. My creature lives in a cold freezing winter forest. The winter forest is so beautiful with all the snowflakes and snow falling down. She can do lots of things. She can change the shapes on her wings. She can also fly and flip.
