MOTAT Trip by Cyrus

We went to MOTAT. It was fun .first we split into groups, then we waited under a plane. Then we walked into MOTAT. There was more planes then an airport. Its enormous like an elephant (obviously) we always got lost in Separate ways, as we all went in separate ways to explore the museum (MOTAT). Then we went to MOTAT 2, in the tram. It was better than MOTAT 1 because it was creepy in the doll house. It looks like Anabel. We played games, we controlled a robot, and we even played the house drums. It was awesome with the trampoline. We saw Ihaiah playing on the trampoline. Then we went on the tram to MOTAT 1 to leave. On the bus, everybody was singing as usual; I mean ALL THE TIME! I could not believe how much fun I had!

MOTAT by Angel

MOTAT

On Tuesday Room 2 went to MOTAT to learn about flight. When we went to MOTAT we went inside first and we had lunch. Then we went to look at planes. We had to be in groups. We were with Ms F. She was the best teacher but teacher was Mr Jackson. We saw a lot of planes. It was from 1930’s and 1909’s and we saw a plane that was zip and Fuapau was like yes I knew it. A lady was talking about aerofoil inside a room that was so cold but I was so hot. Then the funniest thing happened there was some paper and you have to let it go so the air blows it and room 2 was like ohhhh. Then next we went to the tunnel it was so fun! I said I want to live in here. We went outside to get our bags and went on the old tram. We got to MOTAT 2 and we had lunch and we went to have some fun. We then went to a weird thing and saw a scary girl.

  MOTAT

On Tuesday we went  to MOTAT  we  looked  at planes and a class room. We  did experiments. It was fun .Then we went to look around  at the planes. We  went to places that were fun and amazing.  I hope  we can see more stuff  at MOTAT1 and MOTAT2. It  was the  coolest and fun to go. Me and Amazon's papa  went  to  see different things.  Then  Room 2 went  back  on  the  bus  to go back to  school.

MOTAT

On Tuesday room 2 went to MOTAT to learn about flight. First we went on the bus. It was very noisy because we were singing really loud. We even did the Haka but then we arrived and we had lunch. It was delicious. Our instructor Melisa gave us a lesson about flight. 

Next we got to do experiments. It was exciting and awesome at the same time. There was a huge fan. There were all types of stuff, but then we all finished and the tram came. We hopped on and it took us to the other MOTAT. It was an adventure. There was a really cool room that I’ve never ever seen before. There were amazing activities. There was even a one that tested your speed. There was all types of stuff, but I hated the doll house. Then we all went back to school.

On Tuesday  room 2 went to motat to learn about flight. 

First we went to a plane outside. THE PLANE WaS HIGH BUT FAKE. UNDER THE PLANE WERE FLOWERS. THE FLOWERS WERE COLOURFUL .THEN WE GOT OUR BAGS and went inside to have a look at planes! I was super surprised because they had a lot of giant planes. then we went to a room. when we were walking, I saw a jean batten poster. Then we had lunch and  were waiting for our leader to come.  When she came we went to a different room and did cool activities. My favourite one was the fan tube. We could create things and put them in the tube. It was so cool. 

Then we went to MOTAT two it had so much technology. My favourite bit of technology was the r2d2 robot. We got to control him. And I won. Amazon and jazzlyn got to the finish line in the nick of time. I made it to the end fast. When I finished the man said I had 32 seconds left. then it  was home time.

 it was a awesome day!

MOTAT

On Tuesday 30th of May Room 2 went to MOTAT so we could learn more about Fantastic Flight. I was very excited to go to MOTAT to learn more . We arrived at MOTAT on a bus. When we arrived the teacher at MOTAT was talking about the aerofoil on the plane and how they can fly. Then was the part I liked, the experiments. The first experiment my group did was the fan thing. My group was trying their best to create lift and weight. I created one but it shot up and fell to the ground. Then room 2 went out to look at the planes. There were too many planes, I didn’t know which one to start with. My group started at the plane that had a bomb under it. My teacher asked a question, ‘’Why was the top of the plane green and the bottom black?’’ I said the top of the plane is green so it can be camouflage to green like grass or trees. But I don’t know why was the bottom black. Room 2 got their bags from the cage. We walked to the tram stop and we kind off waited for a long time. Finally the tram came and room 2 went inside, it was a little noisy because of the wheels and it looked old.



It was a nice day to go to MOTAT and learn more.

Trip to MOTAT! By Liana

                       The Trip to MOTAT

One cold and sunny morning it was Tuesday, and we were going to MOTAT. When the bell rang we grabbed our bags and our name tags then went straight on to the bus. When we got on the bus we straight away sat in a colourful seat. After seven minutes we arrived at another MOTAT where the airplanes were. 

We went inside and had a look around then sat down by some windows with the sun shining in. We had some lunch while we were sitting down. After our lunch we went into a classroom were there were activities we could do. Melissa our teacher, that was teaching us, had a projector that was teaching us about flight. She could tap the projector to change the slide. 

After the class lesson we did some experiments with paper, cardboard, water, string, tape, and a big balloon thing. There was a tube that had a fan underneath it. We had to craft some items to try and get it to spin in the middle. After that we went and looked at the planes and explored. After one hour we met up again and went to the old tram, that could still work. We went back to the original MOTAT. 

When we arrived , we had lunch at the  rotunda. We put our bags in a cage. After that, we went to explore what there was around MOTAT. Our group went to find the mirror maze but it was gone. We went to the robot game where you control the ball to the end of the maze. After the robot maze, we looked at the village which was creepy. There were mannequins that looked like real people. There were some rocking chairs that had dolls sitting on top  of them. 

After one hour we meet up again, then went in the tram and went back to the airplane MOTAT. We sat down and waited for the bus to come. After 5 minutes the bus arrived, we all jumped in and headed off to school. My favourite part was the village! 

It was a fabulous day to go to MOTAT!

On Tuesday room 2  went to MOTAT to learn about flight. We went in the bus and when we got there we saw the sky tower. We put out our bags in the cage and went to have lunch. I ate an egg sandwich. Then we went to the toilet. After that we went upstairs to the lessons room and the girl turned on the projector. She told us about aerofoils and she was smart. Then we went into our groups and went to our activities. My favourite was the tunnel. We crawled in it and pulled the string. After we did the activity, the lady told us about planes, so we went to the planes. Most of the planes were white.

Next we went on the tram with this man driving the tram. It was noisy and bumpy, and it was squeaking like a mouse. The tram had lots of people in it. We went to MOTAT two first, then one. Then we all had some lunch. Next we got to go anywhere with Miss F. My favorite was the school and doll house. Then we went back school

I loved it.

M.O.T.A.T By Akshath

On Tuesday 30^th May 2017 Room 2 went to MOTAT to learn about flight. [M.O.T.A.T stands for MUSEUM OF TRANSPORT AND TECHNOLOGLY.] First we went on the bus from school. I was talking to my friend and Miss Farkash . [You can call her Miss F.] My friends name was Cyrus. We were talking about last week. When we arrived at MOTAT, we were looking at some old stuff. When we finished at looking at that old stuff, we went inside MOTAT. We had lunch. After we had lunch, we looked at some planes. At school we were split into groups. I was in Miss Tram’s group and other people were in other groups. After we looked at planes, we went to a different M.O.T.A.T. There we were having lots of fun. Some people didn’t come to M.O.T.A.T and that was sad. We went to a place in M.O.T.A.T where you have to control the robot and get it out of the maze. [The robot was actually a ball.] You only have 75 seconds to get the robot out of the maze. I failed.  After, we did that robot thing, we went to the doll’s house. In one doll’s house someone was playing music. Next we went to the telephone place. I got to talk to no one because I don’t know how it works. A guy helped me dial but I heard some music in the phone. After that we went in the tram to the first M.O.T.A.T, and at the first M.O.T.A.T we got on the bus and went to school. At school we went to our class. Our class was Room 2. At our class, we played 21. When the bell rang we went home.                                                     

M.O.T.A.T By Koreta

On Tuesday Room 2 went to a trip named MOTAT. MOTAT was

A nice trip at MOTAT we went to two MOTATs. My very favourite part was the Tram because I didn’t like to walk around MOTAT because my Legs will get sore. At the first MOTAT we did experiments about Lift. The activity I liked was the cup thing when you had to try sticking a card under a cup. The balloon was my favourite too because we had to get a paper and a string then you have to fold the paper and hole punch the paper after that you put the string inside of the paper and then you have to go like an air balloon . When you go into the air balloon you have to hold really tight onto the string and smile. At MOTOT I had fun.

On Tuesday we went on the bus to M.O.T.A.T to learn about flight. There was this lady who taught us about drag and thrust. We had 7 activities. My favourite was crawling into the wind tunnel. After that we looked at planes. Then we went to the real M.O.T.A.T. That had all the historical stuff. We had lunch on a big deck. Then we went around M.O.T.A.T. It was the funniest day ever I hope we go again. By Fuapau

On Tuesday  Room 2  went  to   MOTAT  to learn about  flying . We got on the Bus. It was very loud. When we got to MOTAT we went inside to have some lunch. I had a cookie and an egg   sandwich. We went upstairs to learn about aerofoils. The tube was so fun to watch the craft fly. We looked at some planes. After we went to look at the other side of  MOTAT. Than we had some lunch. After we ate lunch we went to look at the doll house .After we went to look at the doll house then we went to at the school. After we went to look at the school we went to the other side of MOTAT. Then we went back to school. It was fun was fun at MOTAT.

MOTAT

On Tuesday Room2 went for a trip to MOTAT to learn about flight. First we went in the bus to get to MOTAT. When we arrived we put our bags on the car park. I was worried my bag was going to get crushed. We waited for Mr Jackson to stop talking to Melisa. When Mr Jackson stopped talking to Melisa we went inside and we saw a lot of planes. There were planes hanging on the roof and planes on the ground. We were in groups with one parent. I was with Amazon’s granddad, Miss f, Miss Tray and Mr Jackson. We went to different places in the building.

After a while we went on the tram to go to a different M.O.T.A.T. When we arrived we met Melisa. Then Dresynn asked, “Can you do a demonstration for the robot?” Then we went to see the place to have lunch. After that we went to the olden day school. Finally, we went back to school. It was fun!

MOTAT By Freehanah

On  Tuesday  Room 2 went to  MOTAT to learn about flight.

First we went on the bus. Then, when we  arrived  we had some lunch. Next we went  to lesson  and experiments.

After the lesson and experiments, we went to look at

planes. We saw a lot of planes. Then we went outside

to the tram but we were late, so we got on the tram quickly.

We had  lunch,  then we went  back to school and the

Trip to MOTAT by Paige

On Tuesday room 2 went to MOTAT to learn about flight.  First we went on the bus and all the seats were soft and colorful.  When we got to MOTAT we went inside and had a little lunch.  After lunch we went in a room for some lessons about flight.  We were learning about aerofoils and how they work. Then we did some experiments.  My favorite experiment was the air tunnel.  

Next we looked at lots of old planes and big planes.  Then we went on the tram for a little ride to the other of MOTAT.  On the tram everyone was all squashed together.  When we arrived we had a little snack.  Then we talked about where we were going first.  So we decided we will go to the doll house.  When we went inside we saw lots of baby dolls, in one small room.  After that we looked at an old school.  My group and another group were playing teachers.  Next we went to other places. 

 Then we went back to the other side and got on the bus and went back to school.  It was a great day.  I hope we go again. 

MOTAT By Jazzlyn

On Tuesday, Room 2 went to MOTAT to learn about flight. First we got on the bus to go to MOTAT. Then we got off and went inside to eat our lunch. I was so excited. After that we went to see the planes. They were so massive and humongous. 

Next we went to the place where we ate our lunch. Mr Jackson took us to the tram and when we arrived we were at MOTAT 2. First we went to eat our snacks. After that we went to the doll house and the church. Next we went to the telephone place. There were lots of them and one phone could connect to the other phone. But it was time to go back to school, so we went to the tram and from the tram we went to the bus. 

It was a wonderful day at MOTAT. That was the best trip I ever went on.

Rugby Legue by Alyana

On Tuesday we went to Otahuhu Memorial Park to play rugby league. The first school we played was Koru . I got tackled by one of the Koru girls and nearly scored a try. After our game we went to look at the scoreboard and we and we drew with Koru. So we went to have some lunch. After that we went to watch the overs play against Robertson Road School. I saw one of my cousins there. His name is Joshua. Once all the games were finished, we went back to school and Room 2 just arrived back from MOTAT. Finally we went back to class.

Rugby League by Makoe

On Tuesday the under 45s, over 45s and the girls went to the Otahuhu Memorial Park. First we got to go into our teams and our team started to train. Then the games started. Our first game was in field 4. We versed Mangere East. First the captain from our team and the captain from the other team had to rock, paper, scissors and who ever won had to choose if they wanted to kick the ball or to receive the ball. Our team won and our captain chose to receive the ball. 

So the other team kicked the ball and someone from our team caught the ball. Then we all ran with the guy who had the ball and he passed the ball to EJ  and he ran with the ball and got a try. After the game the scores were 3 to 2. We had 3 and the other team had 2. At the end of the day we came 4th. It was the best day of my life!

Vaiaso o le Gagana Sāmoa

This week has been Vaiaso o le Gagana Sāmoa or Samoan Language Week.

As a part of this we have listened and sung along to the Samoan National Anthem.

On Wednesday we watched students from Jean Batten School and Finlayson Park School perform in our school hall.

On Thursday we saw an awesome valu popo demonstration by Messrs. Manu, Joe, and Ronnie. We all wanted to try some of the coconut cream! Mrs Etimani helped explain what they were doing.

On Friday some of the girls from Room 2 dressed up in their pulitasi to wrap up the week's celebrations.

On Monday I went to a wedding at my grandparents house. At my grandparents house the wedding had already started and we were waiting for the bride to come.When the bride came,my uncle went to get his Bluetooth Speaker and his iPhone. Then he played the music for the walkway. Then when they were both standing together the priest was talking. They put rings on each other. Then the bride was signing the papers so she can be a part of her husband's family.

On the other side of the house there was a lot food like three cooked pigs, rice risotto, noodles, chicken and lamb legs. For dessert we had cake and popsicles. When we got to the other side of the house, everyone was there but the sad part was we had to eat after everyone was gone. Then at 6pm everyone had left and I said"Finally we can eat". And we went to eat the food

Rugby League

On Tuesday I got ready to go to Rugby League. When we got on the bus I was sitting with Alyana. After a short trip, we arrived at Otahuhu Memorial Park. We warmed up and we had our first game against Koru girls.We were spreading out and I had to tackle a very big person. After it was full time, the points were 2 all. Then we did 3 cheers for them and we even had to handshake them and say "Good Game.''
